There is a text in the Old Testament, part of which is commonly translated thus: "So plain that he who runs may read;" whereas, here is the true reading of the passage (HABAKKUK ii. 2), as everybody may see by looking it up.
And Jehovah answered me and said:
"Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,
That he may run that readeth it."
This is only one illustration, among many which might he found, to show how carelessly people quote the Scriptures.
