In January, 1904, Christian Science came to my home at the advice of a friend from Chicago who is a Scientist. At that time a sister who had been an invalid for twenty years was visiting me. She seemed to be afflicted with all the ills that flesh is heir to, and materia medica had been tried with no effect. She commenced with Christian Science, and rapid improvement has been the result, until today she is well and enjoying as good health as in her girlhood days. This result has brought the entire family into harmony with Christian Science. I could tell of many demonstrations with other members, and I take pleasure in mentioning one in which I was personally interested. About one year ago I was afflicted with what seemed a malignant sore on my face. I had it diagnosed by a prominent physician, who pronounced it very serious. My friends were much alarmed and I was advised to go to Chicago for treatment, but my confidence in Christian Science was strong and I immediately applied for help from one of our practitioners, who gave me two treatments, and in two weeks the disease had disappeared. This demonstration has been the cause of much discussion in this community.
