For the benefit of pain-ridden and fear-burdened humanity, I desire to say in words of very deep gratitude that Christian Science heals physically, morally, and — best of all— spiritually. Two and one half years ago I was entirely healed, in two weeks' treatment, of an aggravated form of spinal trouble. My physician had done all that he could to cure me. For eleven months my spine was cauterized every other day, before I received even temporary relief from the terrible pain, which at times seemed almost more than I could endure. Even after these many months of what would seem to mortal sense heroic treatment, the relief was of short duration; and at last, in desperation and utter despondency, I decided to give Christian Science a trial. I can truthfully say that I was healed after one week's treatment, but it required one more week to overcome my fear that those terrible pains would return.
I would also like to mention that about a year after this beautiful healing a disease of a very malignant nature presented itself, and because of my intense fear a longer time was required to overcome it than for the former ailment: but this trouble, too, was met and destroyed. With the disappearance of these ailments an almost incessant neuralgic trouble of many years' duration also vanished. All tendencies to nervous exhaustion have gone back into their native nothingness. To-day I am a perfectly well and happy woman, endeavoring daily and hourly to live and apply the little I know of this saving and healing truth. I am very grateful to God. and also to dear Mrs. Eddy, who by her wonderful spirituality was able to show us what the omnipotence and the omnipresence of God mean. — Chicago, Ill.
