For some time I have felt it a duty to express my gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done for me. Had it not been for Christian Science, I would not be here today to tell the good news of my healing, and I feel very thankful to God, and to our Leader, for bringing us this saving truth. Three years ago I had two incurable diseases, according to materia medica, namely, a disease of the kidneys and tubercular disease of the hip. For several weeks I had suffered intense pain, and could not rest day or night. The physician said nothing could be done for me, and that I could not possibly live six weeks.
I knew very little of Christian Science at this time, but realized that it was the only thing in the world which could heal me, and I held on to it very firmly. We had a great deal of antagonism to meet in our home, so that I was very much darkened in thought and had to be awakened to the true sense of being. Finally, however, the pain was all met and I began to improve, though my body was badly drawn and my right limb at least six inches shorter than the other one. But by holding firmly to the idea of the allness of God and the perfection of the real man, in less than four months from the time I fell under the disease I was entirely healed, my limb was perfectly straight, and I could walk as well as I ever did. Today I have the best of health, without a trace of the old trouble. Since my healing we have depended upon Christian Science for all things.
To those who have had the death sentence passed upon them as I had, I would say, and I speak from experience, Try Christian Science, and God will heal you and deliver you from all your distresses. I am more grateful than words can express for all the benefits we have received through this saving truth.
