I was healed by Christian Science after being confined to the bed for nearly three months and practically unable to use my right leg. The doctors said that unless I underwent an operation it would be necessary to have the leg amputated or else have a stiff knee. A kind friend then interested me in Christian Science by giving me the Sentinel and also a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. These, with the advice that she gave me, appealed to me very strongly, and I decided to try treatment in Christian Science, with the result that within ten days after calling a practitioner I was enabled to enter athletic contests in which I succeeded in winning two of the prizes in running races.
This tells of my physical healing in Christian Science, but the joy and peace of knowing the truth, as taught by Mrs. Eddy, are not the least of the blessings to be derived from the study of Christian Science. I certainly feel very grateful to our Leader, and also to the friends who have shown me this truth, as it teaches the right way to live.
