My coming into Christian Science was not for physical healing, or because I was spiritually dissatisfied, as has been the experience of many, but because my husband became interested after a sudden illness of which he was instantaneously healed through the power of Truth, and as we had always lived together very harmoniously in thought, I felt I must have what he had.
It was at first difficult for me to understand Christian Science, but the understanding I now have has brought many joys. After a short period of reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I discarded my glasses, as they were no longer needed. I had worn them since early girlhood when reading and sewing. Many minor ills, such as neuralgia, colds, and burns, have been overcome through the application of the teachings of Christian Science, but my greatest blessing is the wonderful peace of mind that has come to me. During a long period of business difficulties in my husband's affairs I had acquired the "worry" habit, and often walked the floor for hours, but with the realization that God is Life and that in His kingdom all things move harmoniously, I have learned to rest quietly, knowing that divine Love will meet every need.
