I am always glad to testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science, for it is my desire to give to others what I have received, in order to help some one searching for health and happiness. These blessings have been revealed to me through a faithful study of the Bible and our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
About eight years ago I turned to Christian Science, when all material possessions were of no consolation and nothing but sickness and sorrow confronted me. I had often heard of this teaching but was not interested in it, as my husband was in the drug business. When no help was received from material remedies, however, the thought came to me to investigate the claims of my Christian Science friends, and as a result I was healed of stomach and gall bladder trouble from which I had suffered eight years, one of Chicago's most noted physicians having recommended an operation, to which I would not consent. With the cooperation of a loving practitioner I have been entirely relieved of this pain. The application of this demonstrable truth has also healed me of what is called milk leg. The wound on my ankle was as large as a half dollar. We have had many other splendid healings in our family. One of my sons was bitten by a dog, and the hand became swollen and infected, but was healed in a very short time.
At the time of the passing on of a loved one I was wonderfully sustained by the understanding that in Spirit, God, there is no separation or loss. Words fail me to tell what this experience meant to me; for the first time I heard the still, small voice of Truth, telling me to put into practice what understanding I had. Then I knew that I had become acquainted with a God who is Love, and that I need not plead; that He is always willing to listen.
