I am very grateful for Christian Science. A few months before becoming interested in it I went out to Australia to pay some visits. First I went to Tasmania, and when it was nearly time for me to leave for North Queensland, I began to dread the thought of going on the sea again, and fear seemed to take possession of me. A few days before leaving I got up early one morning to watch the sunrise. When the sun seemed to come up from behind a hill, these words came to me: "Unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings." Immediately all fear left me, and I had a great sense of peace. It was twelve days' sail to the port town, and all the time I was very happy and enjoyed the trip. During the long voyage home from Australia also I was quite well.
Christian Science has taught me to look to God for guidance in everything. A few years after returning from Australia I was looking for a situation, but felt that it must be a daily post, as I thought it my duty to live at home. Very soon I heard of a position, but it was quite a way from my home so I did not consider it at all. Nearly three weeks afterward the same place was offered me, and again I did not think of it. The next morning, however, the thought came that I had not sought to know God's will, and then I began to see the truth about it. I made inquiries and everything was almost settled, but I stopped to ask myself if it was really right that I should accept the situation. Then I found myself saying, "This is the way, walk ye in it." I knew it was right and so it turned out to be.
I can never thank God enough for leading me into the way of Truth.— Dublin, Ireland.
