In giving my testimony of healing in Christian Science, I am bearing witness to the power of infinite Life, Truth, and Love to destroy whatever is unlike good, God. Every inharmonious condition which has presented itself in the last eight years, whether it has been of sickness, accident, or fear of any kind, has been healed by the application of the rule of healing as taught in Christian Science.
The Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, with the daily Lesson-Sermon as given in the Quarterly Bible Lessons, together with the inspiring literature that comes to us daily, weekly, and monthly, as well as all Mrs. Eddy's other works, have guided my footsteps in the pathway of divine Science. I am grateful to every contributor to the activities which Mrs. Eddy established, and particularly so to the consecrated practitioner and teacher who threw so much light on the glorious truth which helped me on my way.
My experience of physical healing has been an incontrovertible proof of the omnipresence of the one governing Principle. A long-standing and distressing condition which had not been helped by materia medica, after eighteen months of constant doctoring under four of the leading doctors in this community, brought me to the realization that there was no help outside of Christian Science, so that if I was ever to get well it would be necessary for me to overcome my prejudice against Christian Science, and take up the study of it. I threw myself into it with my whole heart, and before I knew it insomnia and many other conditions which were a part of the trouble were entirely and permanently healed. As I gained an understanding of God and my relation to Him, all the false claims of sickness disappeared. The complete healing was very slow, and at times the conditions seemed discouraging, but I learned then what had always seemed incomprehensible to me, why people rejoiced in having had a slow healing. I was forced to work and study as I should probably never have worked and studied if health had been speedily regained. I learned to turn to infinite Mind for the solution of every problem, and began to put into practice the wonderful verses from Proverbs: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
