I wish I could do justice in describing...

From the June 1924 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I wish I could do justice in describing my appreciation of Christian Science. When this beautiful truth was brought to me I was in "the valley of the shadow," suffering from kidney and bladder trouble in a very severe form. I had had five relapses of raging fever, each relapse leaving me weaker, and was under the care of the third doctor who had done all for me that he could. As a last resort, Christian Science help was asked for and lovingly given, when I was in a stage of severe pain and high fever, and all material remedies were of no avail. Immediately after the first treatment the fever left me and never returned. My strength came gradually; and to-day I am a strong, healthy woman, and can boast of better health than I ever had. I had suffered from weak heart since I was a child. This trouble has also been overcome, and my heart is normal.

What joy and comfort it is to realize God's nearness and ever present help, and His great love for us in giving us Christ Jesus and the Comforter!—

Having seen the beautiful healing that my wife experienced, I asked for help in Science for myself. Having been afflicted with gallstones, chronic appendicitis, and a very painful condition of the lungs for many years, I often wondered which of these ailments would first take me to the operating table. These ills caused me much worry and great pain, and with it all I was disagreeable. As a result of a few treatments and reading the Bible and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was completely cured. I had passed many years in misery, but now I enjoy life as I never did before. My parents have also been wonderfully helped. What a wonderful woman Mrs. Eddy was to accomplish so great a work, and leave to us this rich inheritance!—
