I wish to express my gratitude for the many benefits I have received since taking up the study of Christian Science. Whether the problem is large or small, however deep the waters of error may seem to be, Truth is the victor if we faint not.
The battle has been hard since coming into Christian Science, because all through my life I never really knew what it was to think rightly. I did not know what man's relation was to God. All the false beliefs in which I was brought up had to be destroyed; and in some cases I was resentful. But the "still small voice" of divine Love was gently guiding me on; and in all cases Truth was the victor.
About sixteen months ago a most wonderful healing came to me; in fact, we feel I owe my life to Christian Science. A swelling appeared on the neck, just beneath the jaw. As it grew, it became quite painful. I tried to know the truth, but the trouble became so real that it seemed necessary to call a practitioner. To make sure it was not contagious my husband sent for a physician. The physician told me I had a tubercular gland, and if it were not removed by an operation within a week I would be dead. I did not have the operation; but with the loving and faithful help of a Christian Science practitioner and nurse, I was gently led through very deep waters. Just three weeks later, the abscess opened; then healed beautifully, leaving no scar. I was healed at the same time of a severe case of heart trouble, and also of chills.
