Testimonies of Healing

This testimony is but a faint expression...

From the June 1924 issue of The Christian Science Journal

This testimony is but a faint expression of gratitude for the restoration of my sight, which was slowly leaving me, and for the healing of anæmia.

At the age of ten years I became afflicted with inflammation of the eyes, and was compelled to wear glasses all the time. My physician told me there was no hope, and that I would go blind if I did' not give up my school work and the study of the violin. I loved music too well to give it up. so I kept on with my schooling and music lessons. My eyes seemed to get worse; and fearing that I could not make a living with my music, I decided to take up a business course. After completing this course, I took a position in an office; but after working there for eight months I became dissatisfied, and, to add to my troubles, was soon in a run-down condition, suffering from anæmia. I thought I should have to give up my work; but at this time a coworker took me to a Christian Science practitioner, and in three weeks I was healed of my diseases. Still desiring to follow music, ten months later I gave up my position in the office, and have made my living ever since by playing the violin.

It is several years since I took up Christian Science, but there has been no return of the troubles. I am striving to gain a better understanding of divine Truth through the study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. —
