Deep and endless gratitude to God, to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and to a dear Christian Science practitioner prompts me to write of a wonderful healing which my child experienced.
In 1922 my then eleven-year-old son fell beneath a truck while playing in the street. Stitches had to be taken in three places on his head, and the left arm was badly sprained. In this difficulty the way to Christian Science was shown me. Later in the evening I called on a practitioner and requested treatment, which was given immediately. We feared that the child would suffer from concussion of the brain as a result of the severe injury to the head; but not the least sign of this became manifest, and the child did not have fever at any time. The physician was greatly astonished that the child did not suffer from headache and fever in view of the severity of the injury. When the second bandage was removed, the wound, which had been sewed, had healed completely; and the sprained arm, which the physician believed would remain stiff, likewise healed perfectly.
I am deeply grateful to God for this wonderful healing, and wish especially to thank the dear practitioner, who encouraged me by her loving words.—Berlin, Germany.
