MAN'S DWELLING PLACE

From the November 1926 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"In this Science, we discover man in the image and likeness of God. We see that man has never lost his spiritual estate and his eternal harmony."— Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, page 548.

Father of all, o'er land and sea is ringing
The voice of Truth, speaking a world's release,
Bringing to listening ears a sound of singing,
To hearts and homes the soft white dove of peace.

Naught can man know of wrong, of sin, or sorrow;
Science hath pierced the shrouding veil of night;
Joy then we find—not in some dim to-morrow,
But in the eternal now of Truth and right,

When in our deeds the healing Christ reflecting,
And hearts unite the harvest song to swell,
In fortress of Thy love each thought protecting,
We learn within the secret place to dwell.

O Light divine, swiftly the day is breaking;
Life's glory crowneth all with tender grace;
And in the light each heart to Truth is waking,
And Love's fair likeness everywhere we trace.
