For several years prior to taking up the study of Christian Science, I had suffered from a serious eye trouble. This deprived me of my education, as I was taken out of school and compelled to remain in a dark room. After the kind opticians had done all in their power to help me, I noticed no improvement. It was at this time Christian Science was presented to me. I accepted it, but was doubtful as to its healing power. I however immediately engaged a Christian Science practitioner; and in a very short time my eyes were normal. After this healing I was able to secure employment, and gained what I seemingly had previously been deprived of. I have also been healed of two ingrown toenails. I was unable to wear shoes for any length of time, but now I can walk without any discomfort whatsoever. During a recent electrical storm, I realized that my extreme fear of storms had been overcome. This meant a great deal to me.
Words cannot express my gratitude for these healings, and for other healings which have taken place in our home. I am also grateful for our literature, especially for The Christian Science Monitor and its clean journalism. I also appreciate the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school, which has been very beneficial to me.
I am very grateful to God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for giving us this practical truth for all mankind.
