Testimonies of Healing

This afternoon I am thinking of...

From the February 1927 issue of The Christian Science Journal

This afternoon I am thinking of my wonderful healing some years ago, and the desire has come to me to give it out in order to benefit and help others as I have so often been helped by reading the testimonies in our periodicals.

For two years I suffered with rheumatism, and a part of that time was compelled to use crutches. My husband being a druggist, we tried every material remedy he knew of, or ever heard of; but I received no help at all. We went to Hot Springs, Arkansas, and after I had taken three courses of twenty-one baths each, with a physician employed by the month, we decided to leave there, as I had not derived any benefit whatever; in fact, I was worse off than when I first went there.

After a few months longer spent in trying to get well, we returned to Texas, and an old friend came to see me. When I had seen her last she had been an invalid, and when she came I was amazed to see how well and strong she was. I asked her what she had taken, thinking, of course, she had found some medicine that had caused her to regain her health. She replied she had become a student of Christian Science and was entirely healed. I immediately asked her if she thought I could be healed, and she replied, "All things are possible with God." This was the first ray of hope I had had. I began treatment right away; and in a very short time I was completely healed.
