When I first heard of Christian Science I was sorely perplexed, feeling that I did not know how to instruct our children with regard to religion. I was dissatisfied with the usual church teaching, and longed to be able to give them better answers to their questions. I borrowed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and read it, and knew by the light that filled my consciousness that it contained the truth.
At that time I was suffering from an internal displacement caused at the birth of one of our children. Two specialists had told me I should never entirely lose it, and that with advancing years the trouble would probably grow worse. After I had studied the textbook for some time, the realization came to me that this trouble had entirely vanished and I was healed.
I give most grateful thanks to God for all the blessings Christian Science has brought into our lives; for the wonderful organization instituted by our Leader, with its manifold activities; for the privilege of church membership; for the "key" to the Scriptures, which has unlocked a door, and "no man can shut it;" and I hope to express my gratitude by following more closely the teachings of our Master, and of our loved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.— Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, England.
