BIBLE history contains many a statement of the oneness and allness of God, and of the availability of His protecting care under all circumstances and conditions. Divine Principle, God, is the one source to which all mortals can turn to find surcease from earthly cares and trials. On page 41 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy says, "The divine Principle which governs the universe, including man, if demonstrated, is sufficient for all emergencies."
As one turns his face Godward and realizes that man is inseparable from God's perfect, harmonious, spiritual government, he overcomes fear and anxiety for himself and for others. The overcoming of the belief in the reality of separation, sorrow, lack, sin, sickness, and death must be met and overcome in individual consciousness, if one is to assist beneficially in the protection and welfare of mankind.
Just to realize that mortals can find a solace under stress of circumstances by turning to divine Principle frees thought from the personal problems of others, and takes away the extra burden of anxious, personal responsibility which otherwise would be added to one's own work, as well as hamper those upon whom one's thought rests. It is when circumstances arise which seem to take matters out of our reach and prevent us from giving them our solicitous care that we learn to trust unreservedly to God, divine Principle, for protection and guidance for loved ones.
