I am deeply grateful to divine Love for showing me the way to Christian Science, whereby happiness and peace have returned to our home.
I became acquainted with Christian Science in January, 1925, through a business friend, and began to attend the Sunday services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings at once. The Christian Science Reading Room, where I found peace and comfort in reading Christian Science literature, was also a peaceful oasis to me. In studying the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and the literature published by The Christian Science Publishing Society, I soon recognized that in Christian Science I had found a most precious treasure, and this treasure manifested itself in happiness, harmony, and peace.
In a fortnight the smoking habit left me, and to-day I feel as though I had never been addicted to this appetite. For many years I had recognized that false theology could not answer the many problems pushing themselves to the surface and demanding a solution; and so I turned away from it with an ever increasing sense of dissatisfaction with the answers it gave me. How grateful I was, therefore, that Christian Science came into my life and answered all my questions! My joy was doubled when my wife began to find rest and peace in the study of Christian Science. To learn still more of divine Science I got in touch with a Christian Science practitioner, who willingly gave me information, so that Christian Science unfolded to me in an ever increasing radiant light.
