"Let the redeemed of the Lord say...

From the March 1927 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so," we are told in the Bible. I therefore lovingly and joyfully send this testimony for publication; for in my endeavor to study and practice Christian Science I can truly say I have in some measure been redeemed from the belief in an evil power, and been made to realize in some degree the ever-presence of a loving God.

Let me say here that I did not at first find the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, easy to understand; but by perseverance and a desire to understand it, and to know God, I to-day find great comfort and practical help in reading and studying it. As not a word in the book has been changed, it is evident that the lack lay with me, and not with the book.

I should like to tell of a physical healing I experienced a little time ago. I noticed one day that one of my fingers was rather sore, but I did not pay much attention to it, as I thought I had knocked it in some way. In a day or two it was evident that there was something forming, as there was constant throbbing and every appearance of a gathering under the skin. I was told by someone who saw it that it looked very much like a whitlow forming.
