Some time ago my little girl was run over by a heavy automobile, the wheels passing over her leg. After I arrived at the hospital to which the child had been taken, they took an X-ray picture of the leg. The doctor explained to me that the large bone was fractured and a smaller bone dislocated, and said that the bones should be set and the leg put in a cast. I told the doctor I would prefer to move the child home without having them do anything for her. I then went to the office and called a Christian Science practitioner. When I returned to the child and told her I had called the practitioner, she seemed to realize she was being cared for by God, and fell asleep. I had to wait two hours for my husband to get to the hospital to take us home. The child slept nearly all the time, and when she awoke and was carried from the hospital she made no complaint of suffering. Two days later another X-ray picture was taken, and it showed the bone to be properly set and the leg in its right and normal position.
To me and to many of those around us this was a wonderful demonstration of Truth's healing power. We feel very grateful to the practitioner for her loving help; also to the Discoverer and Founder of this glorious Science, Mary Baker Eddy. I also feel grateful that my children are members of the Christian Science Sunday School, and that we are learning to know that all things are possible to God and that there is no obstacle on earth which Truth cannot overcome.— Los Angeles, California.
