I gratefully and humbly give thanks to God for the blessings I have experienced since I have had the privilege of knowing of this wonderful Christ-Science. It has transformed and illumined my life; it has helped me to correct wrong thinking; it has enabled me to overcome to a great extent feelings of resentment and injustice; it is giving me greater peace, more real love, and a better understanding of man in God's image and likeness. I have had many physical healings through the application of this blessed truth, of rheumatism, delicate feet, sore tooth, pain; and whenever my own understanding of Christian Science has been insufficient to free me from these difficulties, I have had loving help from practitioners and friends; for which I also give thanks, knowing, as I do, that each healing was made possible only through holy consecration to God and His Christ.
When I think of the wonderful unfoldment Christian Science gives me of the Bible, which heretofore was a closed book to me, a great feeling of deep joy and gratitude fills my heart. There are many trials to go through in our passage from sense to Soul, but what a wealth of light is ours when we cling to the Bible; to the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and our Leader's other writings; and to the periodicals published by The Christian Science Publishing Society.
I am grateful for all the channels our Leader has left us through which to learn the joy of overcoming self, including the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and the lectures. When thoughts of discouragement would try to deprive me of spiritual joy, and suggest slow progress, then I look back and see what life meant to me before this wonderful light illumined my pathway.
