It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude to our loving Father-Mother God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to the loving ones whom I have met since coming into Christian Science, and who have been such a help to me, that I write this testimony.
It was a very short time after I had started to study Christian Science that I had a wonderful healing of tonsillitis. I awoke one night with a severe attack of this trouble, and at once remembered what a loving practitioner had told me, that in trouble I might turn to the Lord's Prayer, the twenty-third and ninety-first psalms, and also to the "scientific statement of being" in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 468).I got up, read the twenty-third psalm, and was trying to read it over again when I felt that if I did not get back to bed I would collapse and awake the household, which I certainly did not want to do. I got back to bed and repeated the Lord's Prayer over and over again, until I fell asleep. In the morning, when I awoke, there was no sign of the trouble.
Christian Science solves my every problem. Words fail to express all that its teaching has done for me. We are indeed grateful for the joy and rest that come to us as we grasp the great fact of the allness of God, good.
