[Original testimony in German]

Profound gratitude to God and to...

From the November 1928 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Profound gratitude to God and to Christian Science prompts me to give this testimony. For twenty years I suffered from a very bad eye complaint, which grew worse each year, until nine years ago I was almost blind. Nine renowned specialists and physicians could not help me, and they could give me relief only for a short time. In my extremity I heard of Christian Science. How happy I was, for now I had something to cling to again! I had been near despair. I at once clung steadfastly to God's promises and to the truth.

With inexpressible love and patience a kind practitioner helped me to win the victory. My healing was not a quick one: it was over two years before I was well. Other troubles, such as inflammation of the veins, a serious bladder complaint, and a chronic cough which returned each year, have been overcome. There are still many weeds to be uprooted, but I will look up to God daily and be grateful, and become more and more conscious that He will supply me with all that is good and with ability. I am most grateful for the spiritual blessing which has made me much more contented and happy, and which has directed me along the right way. I shall endeavor to learn more and more of the truth.

Words are inadequate to express my profound gratitude for this help, and for all the blessings I have experienced in Christian Science.— .
