With a joyful heart I wish to testify to what Christian Science has done for me. It is about ten years since I heard of this redemptive teaching. A lady who was staying in Dresden for a short time gave me my first explanations of Christian Science. On leaving Dresden she gave me a few Herolds and two pamphlets. At that time I knew very little about Christian Science, and yet the little I knew meant a great deal to me. My joy over this religion was so great that I read the pamphlets again and again, until one day the thought came to me that this teaching could give me back my health again, if I followed its rules.
At that time I was suffering from heart trouble, which I had had since childhood, and which no doctor had been able to cure. As I read the literature which had been given to me and tried to apply the truth contained therein, in a very short time I was freed from sickness. I felt inexpressibly happy, for I had become a new and happy person. And yet I was to learn still more of God's glory.
A few years ago I had an ugly eruption on my face. At first this did not yield, because I could not overcome thoughts of fear. I therefore went to a loving Christian Science practitioner. The short conversation I had with her gave me so much strength and understanding that I was able to overcome the fear at once. On my way home I felt that the healing was taking place. In three days I was perfectly healed; my skin was smooth; and there was not a scar visible.
