Out of gratitude for the wonderful healing of our four months' old granddaughter of infantile paralysis, through God's omnipotent goodness and the understanding of a Christian Science practitioner, I wish to give the following testimony. My son-inlaw, who was then opposed to Christian Science, called a doctor on a Monday. By Wednesday the baby had become so ill that the doctor asked for a consultation with a specialist. After they had gone she continued to grow worse, and a medical nurse was called. By Thursday she was in such a condition and suffered such pain that she had to be kept on a pillow. I told the child's father that I could not see her go that way when I knew that Christian Science could heal her. He said I could try it if I wished, as the doctors had given her up, and added, "She cannot live now, anyway."
It was late that night when I got in touch with a practitioner. She told me to dismiss the doctors and nurse, and to have no fear that the child would have convulsions. When she arrived she told the mother to give her nature's food. The baby began to improve immediately, and within an hour the purple color began to disappear, giving place to a healthy hue. Within four days the child was entirely healed. She is now five years old, and healthy. Since this healing took place she has not had medicine of any kind. On one occasion she had a bad cold, but she responded immediately to Christian Science treatment.
I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done for us, and is continuing to do daily, and for the wonderful truth which Mrs. Eddy brought to light.— South Pasadena, California.
