With gratitude for the wonderful demonstration of the healing of our baby through Christian Science, I give this testimony with the hope that some parent may read it and come to the understanding that all things are possible with God. I was in a distant city when notified by my wife that the baby appeared to be dying. I told her to have no fear, for God was his Life, and to call upon a practitioner for help. Malnutrition was the cause of this condition, his weight at the time being less than when he was born. Convulsions which followed so distorted the little body that I feel certain there could have been no help possible for him, other than this blessed truth. Finally the little form became motionless and cold. As soon as the practitioner began her loving work, which was done by absent treatment, life returned to the baby, and within a few days he was taking nourishment. Within a month he was normal in every way. He is ten years old now, and an interested pupil of the local Sunday school.
Words are inadequate to express the gratitude which I feel for this wonderful proof of the healing power of God as revealed through Christian Science, from which, in the seventeen years in which I have studied our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I have received many blessings. Daily I give thanks to God for our dear Leader, whose pure life prepared her to receive the revelation of the Christ, Truth, and enabled her to put it in book form, so that it may never again be lost to the world; and through it we are able to drink of "the water of life freely." I am deeply grateful for the understanding which I have of Christian Science and for the spiritual light it throws on the Bible.— Newark, New Jersey.
