I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing, but because I felt starved for love. The orthodox church of which I was a regular attendant did not meet my need, nor could I find relief in my study of the Bible. The way seemed dark and hopeless. Then one day some dear friends took me to a lecture given by a member of the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church. Never shall I forget the glorious message given that day: "Be not afraid! God is at the helm! All's well!" Then and there I was healed of fear of want or lack; and I was shown that divine Love is ever present.
Since that time, through the study and application of the truth as given in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I have been healed of colds, sick headaches, a gloomy outlook on life, constipation, burns, sprains, the need of wearing glasses, and lack of supply. A keen sense of smell has been developed where there had been none. The Bible is becoming an open book to love and understand. I give thanks to God that I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind.
I am so grateful for the authorized Christian Science literature, which makes the truth available to all; for the practitioners who so lovingly help us over the rough places; for membership in a branch church; for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school, and for all the activities of The Mother Church and its branches. But most of all I am increasingly grateful that I am growing in love for and understanding of Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer, Founder, and Leader of Christian Science.— Texarkana, Arkansas.
