Through God's loving mercy I was healed ten years ago when I turned to Christian Science for help. I had been in bed six months on a liquid diet, and had been almost an invalid for several years prior to that time. We had had' nine physicians, two of whom were specialists. They seemed very much interested, but could not help me in any way. Some of them told me plainly that it would be of no use for them to give me any medicine because it would do me no good; and the last specialist consulted said there was nothing to do but to operate, since a kidney would have to be removed. He also said that I had chronic appendicitis, gallstones, and a tumor, which would all need operations. The bowels were bloated and almost paralyzed, and had been so for four years. From my hips down to the end of my toes, my bones seemed as if they had turned to ice, a condition physicians said resulted from sciatica of the nerves. The lower limbs had to be inclosed in hot applications in summer as well as in winter to keep me warm.
I was healed of all these troubles except sciatica in one absent treatment by a loving Christian Science practitioner. I ate solid food the next morning, when I partook of a hearty breakfast without experiencing any inconvenience from it; and I have eaten ever since without discomfort. The sciatica was overcome in a few months.
For fifteen years prior to the time of this healing I had been afflicted with granulated eyelids. Although I did not mention this condition to the practitioner, about six months afterwards I realized that it had disappeared with the first instantaneous healings.
