ENCOURAGEMENT

From the October 1932 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Man knows no hesitation when climbing up the road;
Love knows no limitation in His divine abode.
For Truth and Life, unending,
Are gracious courage lending
To weary mankind bending
Beneath a seeming load.

Glad hope and inspiration arise from out the earth,
As anthems of salvation proclaim our Saviour's worth.
Though roads seem steep and winding,
And laws of mortals binding,
Lift eyes to God, there finding
The freedom of new birth.

Look up in contemplation beyond the finite view;
Let holy consecration appoint the way for you.
No heavy burdens dragging,
No weary footsteps lagging,
Nor feeble efforts flagging,
God hath made all things new.
