It is a privilege to testify to the efficacy of Christian Science. I have had numerous proofs of its power to bless. Words cannot express my gratitude for having found the remedy that meets all human needs. Having been a medical nurse prior to coming into Christian Science, I take this opportunity of contributing what has been to me wonderful proof that Truth as taught in Christian Science does heal.
Over fourteen years have elapsed since I found it necessary, through my own failing health, to leave a case which I had been nursing for about six months. Having all the symptoms of tuberculosis, weak and discouraged, I visited my sister, who had been healed in Christian Science after physicians had given her but a short time to live. She asked me to read page 384 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I read, in part, "God never punishes man for doing right, for honest labor, or for deeds of kindness, though they expose him to fatigue, cold, heat, contagion."
At last I had found a God of love, who does not punish, as I had always been taught. I destroyed all my medicine and continued to read, with the result that I was completely healed in less than a week by reading this book.
