Christian Science has been the source of many blessings to me, both physical and mental. Sixteen years ago I took up the study of this wonderful truth after witnessing my wife's instantaneous healing of ulcers of the stomach.
Some time ago, while on a business trip, I became violently ill. By declaring the truth I was able to reach home, though how I did this I am unable to recall. I was suffering with a very sore throat so that I was unable to speak above a whisper. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and the work was taken up immediately. Within a short time I was able to go about my business as usual.
A few weeks later my eyes began to fail me so that I was unable to read. This lasted for only a few days, but then my voice and limbs became partially paralyzed. During this time I met a friend who is a physician, and he inquired if I had recently had diphtheria, stating that I had all the symptoms of post diphtheria. Realizing that this might have been possible, I felt that I had added cause for gratitude, not only for my own healing, but for the protection of my family, who had been with me constantly, all of which proved that where there is no fear, there is no contagion. The latter condition was overcome through the work of my wife and myself.
