Since I took up the study of Christian Science several years ago, my life has been one of such daily development that the many demonstrations making that change form one beautiful pattern.
I came into Science seeking a way out of the many inharmonies which were destroying the substantial and sure foundation upon which my life had been built. While many conditions arose which seemed beyond enduring, I was able to see that I was receiving blessings and a strength which could come only spiritually. With the help of a practitioner a sense of separation which seemed particularly difficult was overcome. I also gained health and selfreliance that I had lacked all my life.
I had been suffering for some time from serious attacks of extreme vomiting, an ailment which two physicians were not able to diagnose. These spells came rather frequently and lasted sometimes for two days. The only way I could be relieved was by having a doctor administer a hypodermic. Shortly after I became interested in Christian Science, I felt one of these dreaded spells coming, and I can well remember my joy when I realized it was not necessary for me to suffer from an inharmonious condition. While I understood little of Science, I had absolute confidence that in the new concept I had of God there was no place for suffering of any sort. The complete healing did not come at once, but as my thought improved spiritually the attacks lessened until I was completely free. Several years later I had a return of this difficulty, but was healed instantly by a Christian Science practitioner. Since that time I have been ill so seldom that I can truthfully say I scarcely know what illness is.
