From childhood I had an earnest desire to know God better. I strove to be meek, humble, and forgiving, always wishing to be obedient. After taking up the study of Christian Science, I learned how very essential it is to be obedient to Christ Jesus' teachings.
Several years ago a Christian Science Sentinel was given to me, and I read and reread it. For several years I had suffered from stomach disorder, constipation, and a severe spinal difficulty caused by a fall. I called a Christian Science practitioner and was healed instantaneously of the three difficulties mentioned. I shall never forget the glorious feeling of my at-one-ment with God which I realized at that moment. All my medicines were destroyed at once, and I have relied upon God for all my needs ever since.
I am indeed grateful for the spiritual uplift and renewing of mind that came to me at that time. I greatly value membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and the blessed privilege of class instruction. I am grateful also for the opportunity I had to spend a few days at the Christian Science Benevolent Association Sanatorium on Pacific Coast, where I received much help. Church work and the periodicals are a constant joy and inspiration to me. My earnest desire is to love my brother man more, to be tolerant and patient. My heart overflows with gratitude for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has brought so much happiness to mankind.
