ANNOUNCEMENT
Since the end of the war, we have been urged by many of our readers to provide a plan for delivery of The Christian Science Monitor by air as an alternative for those subscribers who wish to receive this newspaper as close as possible to its date of publication.
Obviously the difference in delivery by regular mail and air mail is so considerable as to prohibit the assumption of this additional cost by The Christian Science Publishing Society, inasmuch as our present subscription rate of $14 a year barely meets, and in some cases does not meet, the cost of production and mailing to distant places.
Therefore, we have sought for a method of providing an alternative air-mail delivery plan at the lowest possible rate for those subscribers who are willing to meet the additional cost.
We are now able to announce an experimental plan for air-mail delivery to subscribers located in the areas of London, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Effective April 12, The Christian Science Monitor will accept air-mail subscriptions for the London area at $75 a year, or the equivalent of £18 10s. 4d., and the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas at $50 a year. These prices include the cost of the subscription and delivery direct to the address of the subscriber.
Subscribers in the London area who wish this new fast air delivery service should order through our London Bureau at 163-4 Strand. Subscribers in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas should send their orders direct to the Circulation Department of The Christian Science Publishing Society, One, Norway Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.
We are happy to announce this alternative plan, which now gives the subscribers in these areas the choice between regular delivery and air-mail delivery, but we must emphasize that it is on an experimental basis, and its permanency and extension to other communities will depend upon the measure of its acceptance by our readers.

New Pictures
Colored reproductions of two original paintings made by Ruth Perkins Safford in the home of Mary Baker Eddy at Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, are now available. The paintings were made of a corner of Mrs. Eddy's study showing her desk and chair, and a portion of the upstairs sitting room frequently known as the "Pink Room."
These prints reproduced in color are in a size approximately 11x12 inches. The prints sell for $3.50 each. For convenience in ordering, we are listing the numbers of the pictures.

MEMBERSHIP IN THE MOTHER CHURCH—AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH IN GRACE
To all earnest students of Christian Science, our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," offers this loving admonition (p. 4): "What we most need is the prayer of fervent desire for growth in grace, expressed in patience, meekness, love, and good deeds." Membership in The Mother Church and in its branch churches and societies affords unlimited opportunities for this "growth in grace."
Sincere students of Christian Science who are in accord with the platform and teaching contained in the textbook, and who accept our Leader's definition of "Church" (see Science and Health, pages 330-340 and 583), are welcome to apply for membership as the next step in their spiritual progress.
Application blanks and the questionnaire folder may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from clerks of branch churches and societies, from Christian Science practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal, or from Gordon V. Comer, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

TESTIMONIES
Testimonies should be verified by three members of The Mother Church who know of the healing or can vouch for the integrity of the testifier. If the testifier is not acquainted with three members, his affidavit may be sufficient, but in this case he should, if possible, obtain verification from one or two members. The testifier himself should obtain the verifications and submit them with the testimony. Complete addresses of the testifier and his vouchers should always be furnished.
