For some time before beginning the study of Christian Science, I was troubled by apparent contradictions in the Bible as to the nature of God. From my very first reading of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I accepted the logic of this wonderful book which explained the Scriptures to me as they had never been explained before. My gratitude to our divinely inspired Leader for all that her revelation and works mean to mankind and to me is unbounded.
Christian Science makes plain the way of salvation. It is the pearl of great price. In my own experience much wrong thinking has been corrected and replaced with confidence in God and love for my fellow man.
There have also been many proofs in physical healings. Severe colds, which I had every winter before studying this Science, no longer appear, chronic sick headaches were healed in one treatment, and after several years during which I experienced frequent periods of enervation, I was suddenly healed after this condition had lasted for several weeks. An article in a Christian Science Sentinel in which a practitioner related her own healing of weariness so roused my thought that I rose from the couch on which I was trying to rest, feeling entirely free and refreshed, and have never since had a prolonged sense of weariness or lassitude. Other healings for which I feel most grateful are those of rheumatism and pyorrhea.
