CIRCULATION

From the August 1953 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Circulation implies activity. Synonyms of "circulate" are active words, such as spread, diffuse, disseminate; and one definition of it is "to pass or go about from place to place, from person to person, ...to go into the hands of readers." Since God, good, is omniaction, as Christian Science reveals, circulation spiritually comprehended indicates the activity of Mind reflected in its ideas and qualities. And the omniaction of good precludes the possibility of the actual circulation or dissemination of evil. In her "Miscellaneous Writings" Mary Baker Eddy says of Christian Science (p. 22): "It shows the impossibility of transmitting human ills, or evil, from one individual to another; that all true thoughts revolve in God's orbits: they come from God and return to Him,—and untruths belong not to His creation, therefore these are null and void. It hath no peer, no competitor, for it dwelleth in Him besides whom 'there is none other.' "

The circulation of the Christian Science periodicals illustrates the presence and activity of true thoughts. The spiritual concepts that the periodicals unfold originate in the one Mind, Spirit, and they fulfill their mission of expressing God's will by enlightening human consciousness. And enlightened humanity completes the cycle by acknowledging God and by demonstrating His goodness and allness. Because of this God-impelled cycle of good, the circulation of our periodicals involves the action of divine law bringing the Science of being to those ready for it.

Christian Science has appeared as a mighty revelation to human consciousness, and the finding of it by individuals is never a question of chance. Only the operation of Truth prepares anyone for the reception of Truth. When one has reached the point of spiritual readiness to yield to Christian Science, he inevitably finds it, because the action of divine law is operating universally, and it is through God's law that the truth is disseminated. The divine Mind embraces all life, all identities. Christ Jesus implied this when he said (John 10:29), "My Father... is greater than all." The one cause, Mind, includes effect as idea. And it governs effect invariably.
