Be not cast down. As surely as the broad,
Bright swath of morning sweeps irresistibly
Across the land, so understanding comes
To human consciousness. The apathy
Of ignorance dissolves, with all attendant
Cruelties, and in awakened hearts
The light of Love reveals the brotherhood
Of man. The Christ, the right idea, persuades,
Persists, prevails, and will not be denied.
Look up! Even now a multitude
With hearts illumined, humbled, gentled, strengthened,
Casts off the tattered shrouds of false belief.
Thus let us walk, rejoicing in the light.
