I am deeply grateful for Christian Science. I was raised in this Science but fell away from its teachings during my teens. For a while I took drugs but eventually quit them after about three years. Then I began drinking heavily.
Becoming more and more depressed, eventually I dropped out of college. I began searching for deeper meaning in my life, knowing that my behavior was not right. Although I tried many different ways to correct things, nothing seemed to work.
Everything came to a head one night when I became very drunk and lost all control of myself. I became destructive and violent. I was yelling and punching and kicking walls. As I had never been a violent person, this experience was very troubling to me.
