When we self-center our lives,
we absent ourselves from humanity.
We are alone, invisible in proportion to our selfishness.
And beyond the smaller self-centering escapades of mortal
thought
does not death claim that we can totally absent
the bounty of our uniqueness
the splendor and sweetness of our individuality
From creation—
seem to vanish like the astronomical black hole
from which no light escapes?
But where is selfishness in the infinite saturation of Love?
And Love is our real Mind, real substance, real consciousness,
our visibility.
Love reflects us outward, triumphs over death
by illumining our image forever.
And so we cannot fail to be seen and known forever
In the outpouring radiance of unselfed living.
Yes . . . I'm sure we can start to prove a little of this.
We can give more . . . and then more . . .
As we let Love's Christ illumine the spiritual in consciousness.
We can become lights in the world,
friends of humanity through all generations.
