Have you ever thought, "Does Christian Science really heal? Can I be healed?"
I suffered from chronic head pain for over fifty years, and wondered if I had the spiritual understanding to find healing.
The book of John tells us about a pool at Jerusalem called Bethesda, where there lay "a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had" (5:3, 4). There was a lame man who had not walked for thirty-eight years, and Jesus healed him in an instant, even though the man could not get to the water first. The Master simply said to the man: "Rise, take up thy bed, and walk." We read, "And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked" (5:8, 9).
