The particular stones selected for use in a building are important for a number of reasons. They help define the specific character and feeling of a building. Sometimes the choice of stone also relates to weight-load, stability, protection from heat, cold, precipitation, fire, or other conditions. The choice of stone might also contribute to the intended longevity of a structure.
With these features in mind, it is interesting to review this statement of Mary Baker Eddy's from Science and Health: "The chief stones in the temple of Christian Science are to be found in the following postulates: that Life is God, good, and not evil; that Soul is sinless, not to be found in the body; that Spirit is not, and cannot be, materialized; that Life is not subject to death; that the spiritual real man has no birth, no material life, and no death." Science and Health, p. 288.
Specific "stones," spiritual truths, are abundantly available.
