TODAY A LOT of people who are searching for health and well-being wonder if God can help them. Through prayer we prove that He can and will. Many years ago my grandfather was searching for the truth of things, and for a religion that would heal. He studied many philosophies and religious teachings. When he found Christian Science and read Science and Health, he embraced its teaching that God and His manifestation is All—the only reality—and that evil is therefore unreal. He had many healings from these facts and was able to heal others.
A few years later my mother had been suffering from a duodenal ulcer for some time. Her sister began studying Christian Science after my grandfather did, so she encouraged my mother to seek help through this Science. My mother agreed and visited a Christian Science practitioner. She said she was so weak she could hardly go up the stairs to the practitioner's office. But when she left the office, she flew down the stairs, went home, and ate the first normal meal she had had in some time. She was healed!
