Special African Herald

From the May 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear Readers and Friends,

Many of you may know an old French song that says, "Si tous les gens du monde voulaient se donner la main . . . on pourrait faire une ronde, autour du monde." If all the people in the world would join hands . . . we could make a circle around the world.

The world is eager for that gesture, and the staff of The Herald of Christian Science has been working on a special project that responds to the spirit of that song. Today we invite you to hold hands with us and to join us in prayer and support for our June issue, which is dedicated to the African continent. The special June Herald will be a combined issue in French, Portuguese, and English, the three European languages widely spoken in Africa. In addition, it will include a selection of several short texts by Mary Baker Eddy translated into some of the African languages.
