How healing happens

From the May 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The struggling heart doubts,
"Can God heal me?
Will God heal me?"

Thought, yearning to learn more
of who this God is,
pauses,
listens,
finally notices
the thousands of angels
cascading down the ladder of heaven,
singing
of the never-setting sun of Truth,
the eternal rising of Life,
the granite strength of Love,

hears the strain
"I am always with you.
I always care for you."

The divine always,
heard, felt, understood,
echoes in the heart
as the divine yes.

Suddenly,
healing
has already happened.
