ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT THE ARRIVAL OF SPRING in the heartland of the United States is all the flowering trees. Recently, in talking with friends, we were commenting on the particular beauty of the redbud trees this year. Then they mentioned the whitebud tree in their yard. I'd never heard of a whitebud! But now that I know about them, I see them everywhere. Obviously, they've been here for years. Whether I thought they were some other kind of tree or was merely oblivious to their presence, I'm not sure. Regardless, it's been a real awakening to suddenly become cognizant of something that to me, didn't exist until this year.
Just as with the whitebud tree, I'm sure there are many things in our lives that are "hiding" in plain sight, of which we may be unaware. And this holds true for ideas as well as objects or things. Once we discover them we wonder how and why we didn't see or know them before. To me, this is what the Science of the Christ is to all those who haven't yet found it. Often people will comment, after finding Christian Science, that it's what they have always innately known or believed.
God's divine laws are universally present, right here for everyone. Whether we're newcomers or seasoned spiritual students, because of the infinite nature of this Science, our thought will continually unfold and expand. And no doubt we will all have "Aha" moments when a new spiritual idea will reveal itself through our study and prayers—and we'll wonder why we never saw it before.
