A prayer topic: healing partisanship

From the May 2012 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Our local branch church has a prayer topic that we address together every month. A recent topic was “Healing Partisanship.” I confess that the first thought that came to me was, “I really don’t know how to pray about this!” That said, I still wanted to support this prayerful outreach to our world.

The next day during my morning study and prayer time, I decided to give it my best effort. Imagine my surprise when ideas practically came galloping into my thought, just as if they had been waiting for me to open the door to this topic. These were among them:

All over the world, the ideas of God are being drawn to the “true north” of the very foundation of their being: Principle, God. Principle provides an unerring, unchanging, reliable basis of thought and action for all. This one Mind, which is God, acts as an “umbrella of oneness and Love” which inspires and governs all true thought and action.
