Letters

From the February 2013 issue of The Christian Science Journal

For about a year, I had some problems with reading all the issues of the Journal, the Sentinel, and the French edition of The Herald of Christian Science. I felt overwhelmed by this mountain of magazines. I randomly read articles and testimonies, but never finished the issues entirely.
I felt frustrated to be a subscriber and not benefit from this wonderful content that has been so helpful to me and often a turning point in my healings. But recently, I promised myself to take each issue and read it from cover to cover, knowing that this would be time well spent.

I soon discovered that those readings were like a spiritual journey. It seemed to me as if the magazines were built with a main spiritual idea sustaining the whole issue. I so much love the fresh living ideas expressed by newcomers in Christian Science as well as consistent thoughts from life-long students of Christian Science. This is exactly what gives a harmonious balance.

I can say that, thanks to the sharing of writers and the work of the editors, I’m not the same when I finish a magazine as when I began.
