THE light of Christ, Truth, forever shining resplendently as the infinite idea of the divine Mind, is without beginning and without end. To human sense, however, there seems to be a dawning of this light like the first rays of the morning sun appearing above the eastern horizon.

INDIVIDUALITY is rightly deemed precious. Even though faintly perceived through the mists of human sense it is not willingly surrendered.

When the prophets of old, God's messengers to that age, told the Israelites what God required of them, the pronouncement was often preceded by the profound assurance, "Thus saith the Lord. " Through spiritualization of thought these men had so risen above personal sense that they could declare with confidence that the infinite God, divine Mind, was speaking through them, and that obedience to the law of God, so declared, would bring its equivalent in blessings to mankind.

Christian Science gives to one a purpose in life, a direction to one's efforts, a sure Principle whereby one can win true success and happiness. Some people view success as the procuring of money; some, as the acquiring of honor or of human knowledge; while some live solely to get health in order to prolong life.

In working out his problems, the student of Christian Science finds that he must learn, sooner or later, to replace every false material concept with its true spiritual counterpart. This is no less the case with time than with anything else.

Mary Baker Eddy, in her great love for mankind, has given to the world her inspired writings, which clearly and completely expound Christian Science. The Discoverer and Founder of this Science has proved her right to be known as a seer; and her writings, based upon the Scriptures, are authoritative.

Every sincere seeker after Truth, as revealed in Christian Science, soon learns the value of scientific discrimination. Possibly, one has first been attracted to Christian Science through learning by its teaching that God is the only cause of all that really exists.

In the sixteenth chapter of Mark's Gospel it is recorded that Jesus, at the close of his ministry, admonished his disciples, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. " He concluded by enumerating certain signs which were to follow those who believed in his doctrine.

On page 176 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," under the marginal heading "Diseases not to be classified," Mrs. Eddy writes, "One disease is no more real than another.

On pages 82 and 83 of "Miscellaneous Writings" our beloved Leader says that God, Mind, "is the divine intelligence, or Principle, of all real being; holding man forever in the rhythmic round of unfolding bliss, as a living witness to and perpetual idea of inexhaustible good. " To a world harassed by fear, torn with suffering, threatened with disaster, this message of Christian Science that man's well-being is not the sport of chance or circumstance, but is forever established and governed by unerring law, wholly beneficent and universally operative, comes as healing balm; for inseparable from the message are the confidence, certainty, and comfort which it inspires.
