EVERY line of thought presented for the consideration of mankind which claims to be scientific, hence demonstrable, must have as its basis a fixed, unchanging law, and it necessarily follows that he who hopes to prove any of the truths claimed in behalf of any particular line must keep his efforts and conclusions absolutely in consonance with what is called its fundamental principle. Christian Science has such a basis.

MRS. EDDY'S clear and unmistakable denial of the reality of sin is a favorite rallying-point for the opponents of her teachings.

"BEFORE they call, I will answer. " This is the reassuring message of the great prophet Isaiah.

THAT Christian Science is an efficient method of healing disease can no longer be disputed. The proofs thereof are too evident and too numerous for successful refutation.

Some one has recently said that "the trend of religious thought in our day is in the direction of the substitution of social utility for theological sanction. We ask of the new thing presented to our consideration, not is it in accord with the divine will, but rather is it likely to benefit humanity?" Statements of this nature are becoming more and more frequent today and suggest some grave and interesting questions.

ON page 72  of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy says, "God, good, being ever present, it follows in divine logic that evil, the suppositional opposite of good, is never present.

MANY articles have been written to express gratitude for the help afforded by the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon, but there is still opportunity to voice an appreciation of one particular view of the Quarterly , and that is, for the fresh interpretation offered us each week on a subject chosen by Mrs. Eddy as a key-note for the Sunday service.

LIKE every good human quality, fidelity must be governed by divine understanding before it can be safe from perversion. Christian Science finds every individual in a certain stage of thought, and there and then a process of development is initiated which should never stop until the human is transformed into the image of the divine.

ALL Christian Scientists find unfailing interest in searching for the metaphysical meanings of Bible records and sayings, especially the sayings of Jesus; meanings which not only amplify but often change the merely literal interpretations. Because truth is infinite in its applications, it is probable that every phase or statement might be variously paraphrased; but students often find that the thoughts which come to one are a help to another in discovering yet deeper meanings.

EVERY earnest Christian Science student knows what is necessary in order for a church organization, engaged in promoting the cause of Truth on earth, to be progressive. We all know it is our first duty and privilege to reflect the one Mind that was in Christ Jesus, and that we must be ready and glad to do our share in carrying on the various church activities.
